Slidebean

Slidebean is a site I mentioned a few months ago that is great for creating beautiful looking presentations.  Well, they are out of beta and now open to all the public.  This is a site that reminds of PPT but a lot nicer looking, cloud based, w/ the ability to embed into a site or blog.  One of my favorite features of Slidebean are the abundance of templates a person can choose from such as: charts/graphs, collages, timeline slides, and more.  Also, Slidebean is browser based and works on any mobile device.  It can be used in education to "flip" a lesson or even Project Based Learning.

I highly recommend checking out Slidebean by clicking here!!!

SlideIdea V. 4.0

SlideIdea Version 4.0 is now currently out.  This is an excellent free iPad app for creating stunning presentations/slideshows.  The new version allows users to upload a PPT/PDF and turn it into a narrated presentation (think 9Slides).  Also, users can now login w/ their Google or FB account.  Finally, SlideIdea still uses the innovative interface that makes it such a great learning tool for education by generating a unique ID code that allows a teacher to share their presentation w/ students.  This makes the learning experience interactive and is great for Guided Learning
or assessing students by the use of asking questions or polling.

9Slides

9Slides is a wonderful site/app that allows users to create engaging presentations by adding a video narration to their slides.  This is perfect for the "flipped" classroom model or for those educators interested in Guided Learning or even using a Pecha Kucha style presentation.  The way this works is simple, all a user has to do is upload a presentation (i.e. Keynote, PPT, etc) record their narration and sync to a slide and then publish.  Best of all a finished presentation can then be embedded into a site/blog.

I highly recommend checking out 9Slides by clicking here!!!

NetClick

NetClick is a wonderful new site that I found out about from TXTNLRN, an innovator in using mobile phones in the classroom.  NetClick is a great way to make existing slide presentations interactive.  The way this works is simple a user uploads a presentation (must be in PDF format) then NetClick converts it to be interactive.  Students then enter a code on the web or mobile device to connect to that presentation.  Then students can interact w/ the slides to answer questions given by the teacher, tap specific items on a slide, or indicate which parts of a presentation are confusing.  Teachers can then get real-time instant feedback.

I highly highly recommend checking out NetClick by clicking here!!!
